Important information for all satellite viewers of the Maharishi Channel in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean

The parameters of your satellite receiver need to be changed in order to continue receiving the Maharishi Channel after September 30, 2005. This only applies to viewers in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean and does not apply to Internet or European viewers. Generally, no new equipment is needed. Coship receiver instructions

1. You must already be receiving the Maharishi Channel, i.e., your dish must be pointed at the Galaxi-25 satellite.
2. Point your remote control at the receiver and press OK. Please complete each step below- do not skip any steps.
3. Write down the number of the Maharishi channel.
4. Press EXIT.
5. Press MENU.
6. Using the arrow keys, scroll to “Transponder setting”.
7. Press OK.
8. Scroll to “Add new transponder”.
9. Press OK.
10. Scroll to “Frequency”.
11. Slowly enter 11867 on the keypad. Check that 11867 has been entered.
12. Scroll to “Symbol Rate”.
13. Slowly enter 22000 on the keypad. Check that 22000 has been entered.
14. Scroll to “Polarization”.
15. Use the right and left arrow keys to select VER.
16. Verify that there is a red bar of at least 25% at the bottom of the screen. If not, click here.
17. Scroll to “Search”.
18. Use the right and left arrow keys to select Yes.
19. Press OK. The right hand window will say “Please wait...”. After a few moments it will say “Searching OK!”.
20. Press EXIT 3 times or until the screen says “Saving system data...”
21. When the screen comes back press OK.
22. Scroll up or down until Maharishi is highlighted (selected) . You may have to scroll through more than one page of entries. Make sure the channel number you select is HIGHER than what you noted in step 3. Do not select the same number that you noted in step 3.
23. Press OK.
24. You are done.

1. You must already be receiving the Maharishi Channel, i.e., your dish must be pointed at the Galaxi-25 (Telstar 5) satellite.
2. Point your remote control at the receiver and press OK. Please complete each step below- do not skip any steps.
3. Write down the number of the Maharishi channel.
4. Press EXIT.
5. Press MENU.
6. Use the V+ (right arrow) to go to the “Installation” screen. Use the P- (down arrow) to select “Transponder Manager”.
7. Press OK.
8. Use the P+ or P- (up or down arrow) to scroll to 11867 on the left under “TP List”. Please note that the numbers may be out of order.
9. Verify that there is a red “Quality” bar of at least 25% (ignore the “Level” bar) on the screen. If not, click here.
10. Locate the four color coded buttons near the bottom third of the remote. Press the BLUE button.
11. Press OK.
12. Wait until the “Transponder Manager” screen returns.
13. Press EXIT twice or until the notice “Please Wait for Data Save!” is seen.
14. When the screen comes back press OK.
15. Scroll up or down until Maharishi is highlighted (selected) . You may have to scroll through more than one page of entries. Make sure the channel number you select is HIGHER than what you noted in step 3. Do not select the same number that you noted in step 3.
16. Press OK, then EXIT.
17. You are done.

Expert users can enter the parameters directly:
 
Frequency: 11867 MHz
Polarity: Vertical
Symbol rate: 22,000 Ks/s
FEC: 3/4
Note: You must rescan the receiver after entering the parameters.
